Seeking an engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience with the planning and implementation of decommissioning and demolition (D&D) or repurposing of power plants and/or industrial/commercial facilities. Responsibilities will include the development of scope for D&D projects, directing other D&D staff in conducting planning and preparation of work, interfacing with the client, developing safety and work plans and specifications using Construction Specification Institute (CSI) format, participating in bid process assistance (pre-bid meeting, bid walk, addenda, bid evaluation), contracting/management of subcontractors, financial and schedule tracking of projects, and either acting as the Owner’s Engineer or manage onsite staff during the implementation of D&D projects. Candidate should have a strong environmental regulatory background associated with building D&D services, including site investigation and remediation and also have a solid understanding of building and utility infrastructure.

Travel Requirements
Candidate should be willing to travel up to 50% nationwide.
Education Requirements
Candidate should have degree in engineering or other appropriate science background.
Other Requirements
It is preferred that the candidate be a licensed professional engineer, however not specifically required. Candidate should have completed 40-hr OSHA HAZWOPER training and be current with refreshers and medical monitoring. Location for position is open depending on candidate, but if not located in Chicago will be required to regularly report to Chicago office leadership.
