Job description
Nova Consulting Group, Inc. (Nova) is an international multidisciplinary consulting firm providing services in the areas of environmental management, compliance investigation service and corrective action activities. Nova is seeking experienced architectural and engineering professionals to conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) and Seismic Risk Assessments/PMLs.

 

  • Conducting the site visit, conducting interviews, and taking representative photographs

  • Completing appropriate document reviews (as available)

  • Writing the report text and appendices, including the photo log, figures, and cost tables

 

Candidate Requirements Include
Primary responsibilities will be to perform Property Condition Assessments (PCAs) as well as Project Capital Needs Assessments (PCNAs) in accordance with ASTM standards as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

  • 5+ years of experience completing and/or managing PCNAs, PCAs, and/or engineering/architecture consulting (i.e. Construction Loan Monitoring/Seismic Risk Assessments)

  • College degree in engineering or architecture or hold a current Building Inspector Certification with at least 5-10 years’ experience conducting PCAs

  • Knowledge of building components, systems and cost estimating

  • Strong technical writing skills and attention to detailProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Ability to physically navigate site properties, including the ability to climb a ladder and gain access to roofs

  • Personal equipment including digital camera, cell phone, computer, Microsoft Office software, ladder, and various tools needed for access

  • Current professional licensure/registration preferredKnowledge of HUD and/or other government-related scopes of work (i.e. Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac) preferred
