Qualifications

•Minimum 2 years construction industry experience

•Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), trade agreements, jurisdiction, negotiations, engineering, cost control schedules and safety required

•Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction documents and contracts, basic business documents, technical procedures and government regulations

•Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public

•Must possess a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License

•Must possess superior organizational skills

•Working knowledge of Procore or similar Construction Management software, Phoenix Project Manager or similar scheduling software and Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook

•Knowledge of Auto CAD, Solid Works, BIM, or similar is an asset though not a requirement

•Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

•Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables

•Ability to work and achieve results on time with minimal guidance or direction and be accountable/conscious of cost implications

•Flexible in approach and problem-solving ability; able to embrace changes and resolve

•Must have valid driver’s license without restrictions and a reliable vehicle

•Must be physically able to navigate the rigors of an ongoing building construction site

 

Responsibilities

•This position requires on-site supervision and coordination of all field operations to successfully complete a project

•Follow, implement and enforce safety requirements

•Communicate with project manager and Senior Superintendent daily and discuss project issues (e.g., schedule impacts, cost impacts or changes)

•Communicate and give clear direction and leadership to subcontractors and vendors

•Read, apply and manage the requirements of the General Contract and the Subcontracts with the Project Manager

•Notify subcontractors and Project Management in advance of any potential issues or charges

•Develop, coordinate and implement the project schedule and project procedures

•Document construction activities through daily reports and photographs utilizing Procore Construction Management Software

•Supervise total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule

•Includes communicating with the client, government officials, other contractors and concerned parties

•Plan, coordinate and supervise all on site functions including scheduling, material control, quality control, trade coordination and construction methods

•Provide technical assistance, interpretation of drawings, recommending construction sequencing, means, methods and equipment as required

•Request and/or review all project personnel transactions, purchase requisitions, field design change requests while working closely with the Project Manager

•Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, OSHA, safety program requirements, COVID-19 Protocol, work rules and other applicable requirements

•Document all violations, properly notify management, recommend and implement corrective actions as required

•Assume responsibility for productivity of trades, efficient use of materials & equipment and contractual performance of the project

•Supervise trade employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract

•Complete, maintain and submit all required reports, logs, inspections, punch lists and other documentation associated with the project utilizing Procore Construction Management Software

•Communicate and reinforce the Company vision, mission and values

•Must be willing to travel

•Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, customer driven environment
