Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a passion for the work, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members to overcome challenges on job sites
  • You will also be required to hold or be willing to obtain necessary licenses, including a Class B CDL and various equipment operation certifications
  • Proven work experience as a heavy equipment operator
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to climb ladders and work in confined areas for extended periods
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks
  • Knowledge of modern electrical equipment and troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to solve problems and repair equipment on-site
  • Current OSHA 10 Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Hold a Class B CDL or willingness to obtain with assistance from SEI
  • Hold a 2A (excavator) and 1B (crane operator) license or willingness to obtain with assistance from SEI
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with co-workers
  • Experience in sales or customer service roles
  • Previous experience in scoreboard installation or maintenance

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for traveling to various customer sites across New England to install and maintain scoreboard systems and related equipment
  • This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to work in various environments, both indoors and outdoors
  • In this position, you will be tasked with installing scoreboards, scoreboard structures, video displays, and audio systems
  • You will also troubleshoot existing equipment, test connections, and provide user instructions to customers
  • The role involves significant physical activity, including climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting heavy objects
  • A commitment to customer service and effective communication is essential, as you will be interacting with clients to ensure their needs are met and that they are satisfied with the installation process
  • As an Installation Technician, you will be expected to maintain a clean and organized work environment, record and manage stock levels, and ensure that work vehicles are kept in good condition
  • Traveling to customer sites primarily in educational and recreational facilities
  • Excavating footings, erecting steel beams, and installing scoreboards and signage
  • Removing existing equipment and making modifications or repairs as needed
  • Loading trailers and transporting equipment to and from job sites
  • Training customers on the operation of new equipment and providing verbal and written instructions
  • Troubleshooting problems with existing equipment and testing connections
  • Maintaining equipment and cleaning up after job completion
  • Recording and maintaining stock levels and managing work vehicles
