Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Electrical Journeyman to perform a wide range of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of electrical systems and components, as well as the ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with relevant codes and safety standards
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout and installation procedures
Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and compliance with specifications
Troubleshoot electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutions
Collaborate with other team members, including apprentices and contractors, to complete projects on time and within budget
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and property damage
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance job performance and efficiency
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience
Valid electrical journeyman license or certification
Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, components, and regulations
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
