Qualifications
•Site grading
•Installation of utilities and foundations
•In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment operation, and current OSHA safety standards
•Ability to read drawings, plans and engineering specifications
•Must have experience with determining grade heights, utilities, lasers, reading plans
•Comfortable working in a team environment
•Excellent organizational, time management, and leadership skills
•The ability to proactively plan and take initiative
•The ability to operate excavation machinery to assist as needed in the execution of work – this would be expected to fill the balance of workday/workweek time from the previous listed activities, and this could be up to or more than 50% of the time based on the flow of work and projects
•DOT Certificate (acquired within one month after date of hire)
•Hoisting License 2A/1C and ability to pass a drug test
Responsibilities
•Maintain site excavation budgets and keep to a timeline
•Supervision of a crew, ensuring overall productivity, quality and safety of a project
•Perform quantity takeoffs as needed and order all materials (pipe, fittings, gravel, stone, etc.)
•Schedule trucking needs, equipment, and fuel with internal managers and third-party vendors
•Schedule and oversee subcontractors, onsite vendors, and police details
•Review monthly schedule updates and provide one week look ahead details to company leadership
•Monitor staging areas and ensure proper maintenance (erosion control, dust control, soils, etc.)
