Qualifications
- Applicants must be available to work any assigned shift
- Must possess any and all licenses required by the Mass
- of Public Safety to operate any special heavy motor equipment, including a valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and Class 2A Hoisting License
- Minimum 2 years experience with Heavy Equipment Loader/Excavator
- Must have the ability to exercise good judgment and be able to focus on detail as required by the job
- Mechanical background as operator – will be performing service on the equipment
Responsibilities
- Under general supervision of Shift Supervisor, responsible for the safe operation and daily preventative maintenance of the assigned equipment (excavator, front-end loader; bobcat; yard tractor, etc.)
- Operate heavy equipment
- Management and stockpiling of all unprocessed and processed materials
- Material transportation for processing
- Loading main process line in-feed conveyor and shearing bulky materials for processing
- Site maintenance and construction including ditching for erosion control and surface water collection, etc
- Seasonal maintenance
- Performing maintenance and light repair of company-owned or leased mobile equipment
- Keeping accurate PM logs on mobile equipment and turning them in to the Operations Manager on a regular basis
- Typical workweek is 40-50 hours; possible shifts could be Monday – Friday or Tuesday – Saturday
- Saturday hours may be required
