Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment
  • Valid Massachusetts 2A Hoisting License required
  • Valid Driver’s License required
  • OSHA 10 Certification required
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times on job sites
  • Ability to safely perform physically demanding work throughout the day
  • Heavy equipment operation: 3 years (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Full-Time, Year-Round Position
  • Typical Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40–43 hours per week
  • As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a key role in supporting heavy civil construction projects throughout the region
  • This position involves operating a variety of heavy equipment, assisting with underground utility installation, and working alongside experienced crews to complete projects safely and efficiently
  • Roadway and highway projects
  • Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment
  • Perform deep utility excavation and trench work using trench boxes and excavation safety systems
  • Conduct routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance
  • Work closely with crew members to meet daily project goals
  • Maintain safe, organized, and efficient job sites
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with general labor tasks when needed
  • Work is performed outdoors on active construction job sites in varying weather conditions
  • Frequent climbing on and off equipment throughout the workday
  • Ability to safely enter and exit trenches, excavation areas, and construction zones
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting required
  • Ability to work safely around underground utilities, excavation operations, and heavy equipment
