Responsibilities
•Within the confines of a warehouse, forklift operators are responsible for timely and secure transportation of goods and machinery
•Processing shipping orders, customer orders, or requisitions relies on using technology such as warehouse management systems, barcoding, or scanning devices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
•Handpicking, packaging and setting up orders for dispatching
•In some cases, specialized loading and unloading techniques must be employed for specific types of cargo, such as hazardous materials or oversized items
•Carrying merchandise stored on pallets or in crates within the storage center
•Conforming to inventory handling protocols, meticulously arranging products in designated storage spaces
•Reviewing that the cargo is securely locked down is a fundamental aspect of ensuring transport safety
•Stacking empty pallets
•By utilizing RF scanning equipment, businesses can minimize losses due to misplaced or stolen inventory
