Qualifications
- This is a full-time position for a motivated individual with 3-5 years in heavy civil construction with expertise in underground site work (pipework, drainage, water, and sewer systems)
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in heavy civil construction, specifically underground site work
- Proficiency in operating excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, loaders, etc
- Mechanical knowledge of equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Valid certifications: OSHA 10, DOT Medical Card, Massachusetts Hoisting License, and a valid Driver’s License (clean record)
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a drug test
- Strong skills in reading blueprints, elevations, and specifications
- Commitment to safety in the work environment, trenches and confined spaces

Responsibilities
- A reputable Heavy Civil Construction Company is seeking a qualified Heavy Equipment Operator with expertise in underground site work
- Operate heavy equipment (excavator, bulldozer, loader, etc.) for heavy civil construction projects
- Operating heavy equipment for commercial sitework, pipework, drainage, water and sewer systems to accomplish difficult or highly complex tasks
- Ensure safe and efficient equipment operation
- Perform pre-operation inspections and routine maintenance or repairs
- Maintain equipment service records
- Coordinate work to meet project schedules and priorities
- Work safely in trenches and confined spaces
