Qualifications
- The ideal candidate will have solid experience in commercial and residential plumbing systems, a valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber license, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety standards
- Valid Massachusetts Journeyman Plumber License (Required)
- Minimum of 4 years of plumbing experience, including time served as an apprentice
- Strong knowledge of MA plumbing code and OSHA safety standards
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Capable of working in confined spaces and at heights
- Able to stand, kneel, and bend for long periods
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments
Responsibilities
- This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems, fixtures, and other plumbing used for water distribution and wastewater disposal
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing systems
- Inspect and test plumbing systems for proper operation and code compliance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend cost-effective solutions
- Work with various piping materials including copper, PVC, cast iron, and PEX
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Massachusetts plumbing codes and safety regulations
- Stand for inspections
