Qualifications •Must be legally authorized to work in the US •Must have valid Class A or B Drivers License from Massachusetts or Rhode Island •Must have or be able to get Medical DOT Card •Must be safety-oriented and exhibit safe work habits Has a thorough understanding of various aspects of the paving industry including preparatory work, grades, drainage, paving patterns, mix designs, job specifications, compaction and other details related to asphalt paving Perform well in a “TEAM” environment Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency Willing to work hours that are associated to the asphalt industry, including overtime •Driver's License (Required) •CDL (Required)
Responsibilities •Excavation and Backfilling for: foundations, driveways, and frost walls Water, sewer, and drain Possess skill, coordination and awareness to operate heavy equipment in safe manner with precision and efficiency/ house demolitions a plus Excavator Backhoe Front End Loader Skid-steer Read blueprints and layouts •Assist crews onsite with general laboring and or heavy equipment with Hoisting License •Operates paver to spread and level asphalt material on subgrade and related surfaces such as driveways, sidewalks, roadways, parking lots, etc •Ensures a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task Controls material taken into paver and the depth of material being distributed through the paver, smoothness of mat, any unnecessary roughness and/or irregularities in mat, ride quality of mat, and depths of material distributed through paving machine
