National Grid is seeking Temporary Pipe Handler in the Leominster, MA area. Duties As Follows

  • Perform manual labor, including hand excavation, backfilling, handling of pipe, fittings, and materials and does other laboring work as required. 
  • Operate paving breaker and rock drills and assist in operating tapping and stoppering equipment, heating and joining equipment for plastic pipe, and other equipment so assigned. 
  • Successfully complete training of higher classification duties and obtain proper licenses

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a high school education or the equivalent. 
  • Must have good mechanical aptitude and ability, high degree of dependability, and capable of exercising good judgment. 
  • Must pass Company physical and qualifying tests. 
  • Must have Massachusetts Driver's License and be in good physical condition. 
  • Experience with underground utility installation, repair and construction (water, sewer, gas, telephone, electric) is preferred.
